Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Our Commitment

The Growers Guild is committed to making our platform accessible to as many growers as possible, including users with disabilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and follow recognized accessibility best practices.

Standards We Aim For

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where feasible. This includes working toward:

  • Semantic HTML: Pages use proper heading structures, landmarks, and semantic elements so screen readers can navigate content logically.
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — buttons, links, forms, and menus — can be reached and operated using a keyboard.
  • Visible focus indicators: Focused elements show a clear focus ring so keyboard users can see where they are.
  • Descriptive labels: Form fields, buttons, and icons include accessible names and labels.
  • Color contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet minimum contrast ratios in both light and dark modes.
  • Resizable text: The app does not block browser zoom or text scaling. Users can pinch-to-zoom on mobile and resize text in their browser.

Mobile Accessibility

Our mobile interface is designed with touch targets that aim to meet minimum size guidelines (44×44 pixels) and respects safe-area insets for devices with notches. We support both light and dark color schemes and honor the user's system preference where possible. Not every control has been formally audited for touch-target compliance; we continue to test and improve.

Known Limitations

While we strive for broad accessibility, some third-party content (such as user-uploaded images in the Community feed) may not have alternative text. We encourage users to add descriptive captions to their posts. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know so we can address it.

Feedback & Contact

If you have difficulty accessing any part of The Growers Guild, please submit a request through our Help & Support page (available from the app menu or at /help) and select "Technical Problem" as the category. We review all accessibility feedback and work to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We aim to test new features for keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and contrast before release, and we prioritize accessibility fixes in our development roadmap.
